Financing — through state-authorized PACE (Property-Assessed Clean Energy) programs, Petros PACE financing allows commercial property owners to make cash flow positive investments in retrofitting and upgrading their buildings. Unlike traditional permanent financing programs, Petros PACE Finance can provide up to 100 percent financing of long-life RE/EE projects, giving previously unfunded projects the green light. Petros PACE can finance projects from $250,000 up to almost any size.
Repayment periods of up to 20 years — the loans are structured as tax assessments on commercial property, repaid via property tax payments. Outstanding PACE obligations are transferable upon sale of the subject property. The obligation is secured by the subject property, not the owner, thus reducing the credit risk to the property owner.
